Bitcoin’s recent bullish run continued with another small rise taking it to a high of $43,000. Most altcoins have seen similar slight gains; some, like Shiba Inu and XRP, exploded with huge double-digit pumps. Bitcoin Touched $43K Since last Friday, when the cryptocurrency started its soaring from $37,500, the BTC landscape has remained significantly more positive. Bitcoin surged to and above $40,000 in hours for the first time since mid-January. The asset remained relatively quiet, hovering around $41,500 over the weekend before triggering another price hike. This time, the bulls pushed it to $43,000 for the first time since the market-wide correction began on January 21. So far, BTC has not been able to resolutely regain that level and has returned with a few hundred dollars. Nevertheless, the market cap has risen above $800 billion. Source: TradingView SHIB and XRP Steal the Show Most of the alternative currencies followed BTC on the way up with impressive gains in recent days. Ethereum, for example, struggled to stay above $2,000 a week ago. However, now the second largest cryptocurrency is well above $3,000 and challenged as much as $3,100 a few hours ago. Binance Coin, Cardano, Solana, Polkadot and Terra have posted comparable gains of between 2% and 4% in the past 24 hours. More impressive gains come from Dogecoin and Avalanche. However, Ripple and Shiba Inu have taken over the main stage from the bigger alts. SHIB exploded by more than 20% in a day, as previously reported, and is close to $0.00003. XRP, on the other hand, is up about 13%. As a result, the asset hit a three-week high at over $0.75. More profits come from Quant (17%), BitTorrent (16%), LEO (14%), Kadena (13%), Loopring (12%), Gala (10%) and Fantom (10%).
