What would be posting kitchen deals without a quick pot? The Instant Pot on sale is always a good and affordable entry point into the world of pressure cooking. This model has nine different functions, from cooking rice to making yogurt. They’re big enough for family meals, and the end results will be just as delicious as more expensive models.
ThermoWorks’ Thermapen Series is the Cadillac of the instant-read thermometer world. It’s not cheap, but it’s reliable, easy to use, and lasts forever. I’ve been using it for years and it’s just as good as the day it arrived. One is accurate to ±0.5°F and takes one second to read the temperature. Note that Thermapen is not sold on Amazon and we suggest avoiding any Thermapens (or imitations) you see there.
This is in our guide to the best chef’s knives, and it was the most common knife in every restaurant I’ve worked in. It’s lightweight, holds its edge well, and since the blade is thinner and softer than most European-style knives, it’s easier to sharpen.
There are mixers, then Vitamix mixers. I was skeptical, but like fellow Gear Joe Ray reviewers, the Vitamix made me a great guy. The blender is, basically, just a blade over a motor. Everything else gets in the way. The motor is why the Vitamix is so good. And yes, Vitamix is pricey, but it’s worth it. This isn’t the best deal we’ve ever seen, but it’s the best deal we’ve seen this year.
If you think of a blender as a smoothie making machine, this is the blender you want. It’s not an amazing deal, but the Nutribullet is the perfect one-stop smoothie maker, and the mixing bowl doubles as your cup, so you can blend and go.
The Tea Spot (enter CYBERTEA at checkout)
One of our favorite teahouses is the site-wide sale. I am particularly fond of this mug, which acts as a brewery and keeps tea hot for several hours. The deal also provides you with three samples of tea. You also get free shipping (unless you’re in Alaska or Hawaii).
